Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-09-24. Version 1.1.
These terms apply to the VIBE Search and Discovery Shopify app (“VIBE”, “the service”, “we”, “us”), operated by the VIBE/coi team, and the merchant installing or using it (“you”). Contact support@coi.se about these terms.
By installing or using VIBE, you agree to these terms on behalf of your business and confirm that you are authorized to do so. The Privacy policy explains our data practices. Shopify’s own agreements continue to govern your Shopify account and platform services.
1. The service
Section titled “1. The service”VIBE provides catalog search, product discovery, merchandising controls and analytics for Shopify stores. Available features depend on your approved plan and configuration. The merchant guides describe setup and operation, and Plan and billing describes the plans and visit allowances.
Search requires a usable catalog index and compatible storefront configuration. Product availability, market eligibility, buyer permissions and prices are determined using Shopify data. Your Shopify storefront and checkout determine the final products, price, taxes, shipping and order terms offered to your customers.
2. Permission to operate on your store
Section titled “2. Permission to operate on your store”You authorize VIBE to access the Shopify data and permissions described in the Privacy policy and to process them to provide the service. This includes copying and indexing catalog data, generating embeddings, checking B2B access and prices, analyzing your theme, and processing optional shopper analytics where the required consent is present.
Theme analysis may install or update sections/vibe-card.liquid and, where needed, snippets/vibe-quick-card.liquid. These helpers let results use your theme’s product cards. You control enabling the app embed and adding app blocks. Review the storefront after changing a theme or VIBE configuration.
You retain your rights in your catalog, theme and other content. You give VIBE permission to process that content, including through the disclosed service providers, to operate the features you use. These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to VIBE.
3. Billing and trial eligibility
Section titled “3. Billing and trial eligibility”Paid subscriptions and usage charges are processed through Shopify. The plan, currency, recurring fee, usage rate and spending cap shown when you approve the subscription govern your charges. A change requiring new billing authorization takes effect only through Shopify’s approval flow.
- Subscription cycle: base subscriptions renew every 30 days under Shopify’s billing schedule. The recurring fee is separate from usage charges.
- Visit measurement: VIBE counts an eligible shopper visit when the widget loads, whether or not the shopper searches. A visit ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. Known bots and native-search control-group visits during an A/B test are excluded. Repeated activity within the same visit does not create another billable visit.
- Usage month: Starter includes 25,000 visits, Growth 100,000, Pro 400,000 and Enterprise 1,500,000 per calendar month. Included visit allowances reset on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. This date can differ from the subscription renewal date. Changing plans does not erase visits already counted.
- Usage overage: Starter, Growth and Pro charge $5 per 1,000 visits above the applicable allowance when usage billing is approved. Charges are proportional to the excess visits and subject to the approved spending cap. Any remainder above that cap is waived. Enterprise has a fixed recurring fee and no automated usage overage.
- Plan changes: the highest applicable Starter/Growth/Pro allowance during the month applies through that month. Moving into or out of Enterprise, or cancelling and resubscribing after visits have been counted, waives that month’s usage overage. If an overage cannot be safely matched to its approved subscription, automatic charging pauses for review.
- Trial: eligible stores receive the seven-day trial shown in Shopify’s approval screen. Trial eligibility is available once per store; uninstalling, reinstalling or changing a plan does not restart it.
Review your current charges and allowances in Plan and billing and Shopify. Report a disputed charge to support@coi.se with your store domain and the charge details. Credits, refunds and subscription adjustments are handled through Shopify; cancelling or uninstalling does not itself issue a refund of a charge already made. Any rights to a refund under applicable law remain unaffected.
4. Merchant responsibilities
Section titled “4. Merchant responsibilities”You are responsible for your Shopify account, the accuracy and legality of your catalog and theme content, and the products sold to your customers. Only submit content and visual-search images that you are entitled to use and process.
As controller of your store’s customer data, provide the required privacy notices and configure the appropriate consent choices. VIBE reads Shopify’s Customer Privacy API for optional analytics, sales attribution and external tracking. You are responsible for the tags and destinations in your own Google Tag Manager configuration.
Protect account credentials and limit staff access appropriately. Do not use VIBE to violate others’ rights, send unlawful content, bypass access or usage controls, interfere with other stores, or compromise the service. Contact support if you discover an access or security problem.
5. AI, search and analytics limitations
Section titled “5. AI, search and analytics limitations”VIBE uses AI services for embeddings, translation, discovery suggestions, theme analysis and configuration assistance. AI-generated outputs and recommendations can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review generated settings and storefront results before relying on them.
VIBE does not guarantee a particular ranking, conversion rate, revenue increase or uninterrupted availability. Features depend on Shopify, your theme and catalog, the disclosed providers and network availability. Maintenance, provider outages, denied permissions or incomplete indexing can interrupt features or delay updates.
Analytics measures the activity VIBE receives and is permitted to retain. Consent choices, blocked requests, attribution rules and retention limits affect coverage. Attributed revenue is an estimate under VIBE’s matching rules, not a complete accounting record or proof that VIBE caused a sale. Refund and cancellation corrections depend on retained matching records. Use Shopify’s order records for financial reconciliation.
6. Data and confidentiality
Section titled “6. Data and confidentiality”The Privacy policy, Sub-processors and Data retention pages describe what the service processes and the applicable retention rules. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal data in search text, uploads, catalog fields or support requests.
We use merchant and shopper data to provide and operate the service as described in the Privacy policy. We do not sell it or use shopper data for advertising. Questions about a Data Processing Agreement, processing instructions or a privacy request should be sent to support@coi.se.
7. Cancellation, suspension and deletion
Section titled “7. Cancellation, suspension and deletion”You can stop using VIBE and uninstall it through Shopify. Turning off an app embed alone does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscription cancellation, approved charges and any Shopify credits follow the billing rules above and your Shopify billing confirmation.
We may restrict affected features when required permissions or an active plan are missing, to address abuse or a security incident, or when required by law. Contact support to resolve access or billing problems.
On uninstall, VIBE removes Shopify sessions immediately and schedules deletion of its stored shop data for 30 days later as a fallback. Shopify normally sends a mandatory shop-redaction request 48 hours after uninstall; this starts deletion earlier. Reinstallation can preserve configuration only while it still exists. There is no guaranteed 30-day recovery period, and a mandatory redaction is not cancelled by reinstalling. The trial-eligibility record and internal staff audit records follow their separately stated retention periods.
Uninstalling does not delete your Shopify products, orders or theme. Helper files already installed in your theme may remain after VIBE loses access; see the merchant guides or contact support about removing them.
8. Responsibility and applicable rights
Section titled “8. Responsibility and applicable rights”Each party remains responsible for its own obligations under these terms and applicable law. VIBE’s service limitations do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not replace any separately signed agreement that expressly governs the same subject.
Contact support@coi.se to raise a dispute or request assistance. Include your store domain and enough information for us to investigate; do not email access tokens, passwords or unnecessary customer data.
9. Changes to these terms
Section titled “9. Changes to these terms”We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the version and date on this page and give affected merchants notice of material changes through the app or their account contact before those changes take effect. Continued use after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance, subject to applicable law. Changes to Shopify charges that require approval still require that approval.
